DCI was retained by Howard County to develop contract plans for roadway, storm water management, maintenance of traffic plans and erosion and sediment control plans for this bridge replacement project. The roadway plan was developed for 500 feet of roadway on either side of the bridge.

The plans included:

• Establish Horizontal and vertical alignment
• Typical sections and cross sections
• Drainage analysis and design of ditches and pipes
• Traffic detour plan
• Storm water management design addressing using two submerged gravel wetlands
• Two phase erosion and sediment control plans
• Joint permit application submittal for impacts to the wetlands and stream channel
• Permit submission to the Howard County Conservation District
• Prepare PS&E
