Stoney Run Interceptor Pumping Station
The objective of the project was to address the hydraulic capacity deficiencies and improve structural integrity of existing sewers and upgrade the wet-weather diversion pumping station to NPDES standards.
The pumping station was designed to install four(4) pumps each with capacity of 8.5 MGD in a wetwell/drywell pumping station configuration. DCI’s responsibility included all the structural designs associated with the pumping station and the parallel interceptor including equipment supports, walls, slabs, foundations, roofing supports, valve vaults and special structures. Three levels were involved in the pump station-Operating Room Level, Intermediate Level and the Pump Room Level.
- The other items of structural designs of Influent channel, wetwell, sidewalks, metal roof, brick facade, windows, piping, valve vaults for dewatering sewer.
- DCI was responsible for coordinating with geotechnical consultant for evaluating the foundation conditions and designing the concrete foundation.
- DCI prepared the final PS&E plans and specifications and estimates. Finally, DCI provided Post Award services and construction support during construction.
